Focused Practice Designation
Emergency Physician AEMUS recognition
Emergency physicians who have fellowship training in Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasonography may be eligible for a focused practice designation through ABEM and can sit for the exam if they meet the eligibility criteria.
A Focused Practice Designation is different from accreditation. Accreditation involves fellowship programs that meet criteria to become accredited to train fellows in Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasonography.
