Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Accreditation Council
The Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Accreditation Council (EUFAC) was created to provide subspecialty fellowship program accreditation for Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Fellowships.
In order to achieve the mission of providing accreditation to programs, EUFAC evaluates applications for accreditation using published accreditation standards. EUFAC represents a coalition of Emergency Medicine organizations with a common goal of quality subspecialty training in Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasonography.
Nominating organizations include the Society of Clinical Ultrasound Fellowships (SCUF), Society of Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM), American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) who provide representatives to EUFAC. EUFAC serves as the accrediting body for fellowship programs for emergency physicians training in ultrasound.
