EUFAC FAQ revised – AEMUS Programs to review

The EUFAC has released an update to its FAQs that we require all AEMUS programs to review. The added questions provide a clearer definition of the term AEMUS fellow as utilized for EUFAC accreditation, which are applied to a program seeking or having been granted accreditation status (New Addition: Page 1 “General AEMUS Questions”).

The EUFAC is aware that the clarified definition might change how some programs have approached the fellow complement requested as part of their accreditation. Should your program need to make any changes to your current fellow complement, due to the released clarification of the AEMUS fellow definition, please email inquiries@eufacouncil.org and the EUFAC will review each circumstance on a case-by-case basis.

As of today, the “Fellow Information Form” only collects data on AEMUS fellows who are also eligible for the Focused Practice Designation.

The EUFAC is working on a revision of the “Fellow Information Form” to be released in the first quarter of 2024, that will ask AEMUS Programs to provide information on all AEMUS Fellows as well as any Advanced Practice Practitioners. An email will be sent to all programs, asking for updates to be made, once this new form is published in the EUFAC portal.
