The American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) has released the first revision to the AEMUS Program Requirements with an effective date of July 1, 2023. An additional FAQ clarifying the AEMUS Professional Online Scholarship was released as well.
The EUFAC is integrating the revisions made to the AEMUS Program Requirements into the 2023 EUFAC application for accreditation. Due to the timing of the release, the new EUFAC application is anticipated to be available by mid-August. Programs planning for submission of an initial application for accreditation, will have to postpone their application until the 2023 application form has been published. An announcement will be made once the new application form becomes available.
All programs will start seeing citations in their accreditation reports based on the revised AEMUS Program Requirements starting with their effective date of July 1, 2023. EUFAC understands that the AEMUS fellowship programs will need a period of time to implement the new program requirements.
